Jeff's parents invited him and Robyn to a quick Vegas vacation on the weekend of July 8th, 2016. They decided to drive the 4-hours and were planning to meet his parents at the resort. When they hadn't heard from Jeff's mom, Mary, Jeff made a seemingly random suggestion to visit Red Rock Canyon. "No, let's go play penny slots or something", Robyn said. "Can't we just go take some pictures?", Jeff asked. So, off they drove to the canyon, about 15 minutes away from their destination. Once they arrived, they paid and started their scenic drive around the edges of the canyon. Just as they were coming up on the first turn-out with parking spots and an opportunity to take pictures, Jeff pulled the car to the side of the road...but not into the parking lot. Robyn didn't think anything of it. "Let's both get out. I'll take pictures with my camera and you can take pictures with your phone", Jeff said. They both got out of the car and started taking pictures of the beautiful surroundings. Then, Jeff made a peculiar comment: "Actually, we didn't come here to take pictures". He got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked Robyn if she would marry him. She yelled a slur of nonsense and eventually said the words "of course"! Little did Robyn know that it had all been set up for months: Jeff's parents already knew what was happening that day and he had already asked for her father's blessing months earlier. From that moment on, Red Rock Canyon would forever remain a special place in their hearts.
