They both grew up in the San Bernardino area of the Inland Empire and had friendships within the same social cirlce, but had never met each other. Jeff was already living in Santa Cruz, California when Robyn decided to move out there on a whim. They met each other through mutual friends and Robyn decided she had to have him. She knew that he worked in the automotive industry, so he was her go-to guy for anything car-related. If she needed a headlight bulb replaced, she called Jeff. If she locked her keys in her call, she called Jeff. (< She did this multiple times within a one-month period in order to spend some quality time with him!) It was pathetic, yet cute. Eventually, Jeff caught on to the hints and asked her to be his girlfriend. Four-and-a-half years later, he asked her to be his wife...and she said 'yes'!
