Its already September and it seems that we have been running non-stop with wedding plans, family gatherings, and fun events.

Sunday we went to the Scottish Games in Pleasanton, CA.What a blast!! We were honored to be chosen to carry the Clan MacPherson Banner in the Parade and Presentation of Clans. WE listended to Celtica (Celtic Rock) and Scott's favorite, Albannach, a tribal drums and bagpipes group. We met many MacPherson "cousins" and had a "Bethroal" card trick performed just for us by the Magician/wizard in the court of Mary, Queen of Scotts (in the Living History area). Hopefully we found our Scottish officiant too. We will know soon.

*** News about the Bridal shower::  My sister, Franca and my daughter Michelle are planning the Bridal shower which will be held Oct. 5th, at The Daily Grill. Invitations will be sent out very soon.

The Madera Fair is this week and I have two quilts and the Fairy Throne entered. I will be demonstratining an activity for kids in the quilting area Saturday, from 4-6pm.

Oh....And the best News.....I FOUND MY DRESS!!!!!!!!!

October 9, 2013

Lots of things going on around here.... Found a dress for Michelle. Best part....the dress was $119, marked down to $79.00 , and when we got it scanned at the register, it was further reduced to $49.00. What a bargin!!!

Next, Michelle and I helped mom find something to wear to the wedding. We are all set!

IN the meantime, the shower was this past weekend. Everyone who were able to attend had a wonderful time, and a delicious lunch at the Daily Grill in Fresno. I had my two future Sisters in Law sitting on either side of me, and I tried to make sure to introduce friends and family to each other.

Franca and Michelle did a fabulous job with the games, gifts, food selection and the yumdelicious lemon Genoise cake. The Colorful leis added a blaze of fun and color to everyone's attire and we all looked Great in our photos!!!

October 15,

Just spent 2 hours with our DJ going over music for the wedding and reception. We had fun picking songs that we felt people would like to dance to.

Scott is counting down the days till the big day.... 19 days  is the latest count.

YIKES!!!

I still have several things on my 'TO DO" list.... gotta get busy and tackle them asap!

October 28, 2013

COUNT DOWN BEGINS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 5 days left till the Big Day. Time is flying by!! We have received a few Registry gifts, and have scheduled a few of our tours while in Hawaii.

Scott is really looking forward to the Day at Pearl Harbor. We will be busy from 6am  when they pick us up, till 5pm when we are dropped back to our hotel. Included in the tour is Pearl Harbor Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine, Uss Missouri Battleship, and the New Aviation Museum.

We decided to do the Luau at The Hilton Hawaiian (Our Hotel) the first night in Hawaii. We will arrive late in the afternoon, so having dinner already planned will make our first day in Hawaii a breeze.

But...I still have a few things left to do this week, a list with several "to-Do" items still need to be done, We do have our suit cases tagged, but they are still empty!

See you all soon!!!

I received the invitations recently. Chris Brown, a very dear quilting friend, helped with the addressing of the envelopes. Her handwriting is simply beautiful and so much better than mine:)

Scott and I have been shopping pn the weekends and we found some items for our table centerpieces at the Fresno Michaels. This was his first visit to a Michaels store, it was fun to see his face as he saw the treasure trove of crafting items that they have in that store.

Stay tuned for my next post.
